Slang of the Week: One-Side

One-side: In a fight, you creep up behind a person while he’s otherwise occupied with someone else, and land a completely surprise and utterly un-gentleman punch on the side of his face. Could also refer to just plain punching a person on the side of the face.
Andrew: When the falla was still fighting, I came from the side and one-side him. Shot saraga boy.

Slang of the Week: Onz

Onz: To show approval or confirm a situation, plan or event. Uusally used in conjunction with ‘Brutha’.

(Ed – I can’t really confirm, but I think this slang may be derived from the oft used term “Its on!”, though the current use is generally less challenging and more along the lines of agreeing.)

Shelvin: Ok so tonight us gang go watch Terminator Salvation. Set?
Bob: Onz boy. Onz.
