And just like that, the competition is over, with some great entries. However, as good ol’ Highlander would say, “There can only be one.”
Congratulations to our fellow blogger-in-arms, Chris Hammond Thrasher of Digital Fiji with his entry that rang so true here in deepest, darkest Fiji:
“56 bps faster than coconut wireless”
Goodness gracious, those were the days. Racking up a high phone bill because connecting to the internet through dial-up was the coolest thing ever. Nevermind the occasional disconnects due to someone else accidently picking the phone to make a call. Or the hours/days it took to download a simple tv episode of The Simpsons.
We’ll be touch with Chris to make sure he gets the shirt of his choice.
A “Pics or it didn’t happen” would also be nice

Congratz Thrasher!
Definitely love the slogan ^___^
I shudder just thinking back to those dial-up days, and the insane bills for accessing the wonderful internetz in Fiji.

hmmm….I think the slogan could be better. It doesn’t have much to do with this blog but yes we all know the frustrations and the limitations of dialup (36-52k +- 5,6k)So he has touched a cord or wire inside all our modems/hearts:) congrats! BUT I think your competition has been staged! I demand a rematch!! and a free T-SHIRT!:P
cheers!
